Lanny Boy's life journey began at Roosevelt High School, where he met the love of his life, Desiree, on November 13, 1982, at a school dance. Their love story blossomed into a beautiful marriage on September 2, 1989, and together they welcomed a daughter, Destiny, into the world on August 26, 1997. Lanny Boy cherished his family above all else and took great pride in being a loving husband and father.

In addition to his family, Lanny Boy had a passion for music and was a talented rapper in the 1980s as a member of the rap group "2 Tuff 3," performing under the stage name "Zig Zag." His love of music extended beyond his own creations, and he enjoyed attending concerts and immersing himself in the vibrant sounds of his favorite artists.

Lanny Boy was also a dedicated worker who spent over three decades at UPS, retiring on January 4, 2024, after 37 years of service. His coworkers at UPS were like family to him, and he treated them with the utmost respect and care. Lanny Boy's kindness and generosity made him a beloved figure among his colleagues.

A true sports enthusiast, Lanny Boy was an avid fan of all Los Angeles teams, particularly USC football and the Los Angeles Rams. He loved cheering on his favorite teams and sharing his sports knowledge with those around him. Lanny Boy's love of sports extended to his own experiences, as he enjoyed playing basketball, skiing, and jet skiing in his younger years. However, among his many sports passions, surfing held a special place in his heart. Lanny Boy considered himself a "surfer" and would often be found at the beach, riding the waves and living his love for the sport.

Lanny Boy was also a food lover who cherished special occasions like New Year's Eve, when he would indulge in his favorite dishes of shrimp and prime rib. He had a particular fondness for Las Vegas and Laughlin, where he enjoyed relaxing and taking in the sights and sounds.

One of Lanny Boy's greatest joys was celebrating the 4th of July. Every year, he looked forward to hosting a big BBQ and creating an incredible firework show for his family and friends. His love for the holiday and his talent for celebration made his home the place to be on this special day.

Despite his busy life, Lanny Boy always made time for the things he loved, including watching his favorite shows like "The Sopranos," "King of Queens," "Seinfeld," and "Friends." He was also a fan of mafia movies and considered "The Godfather" series to be among his favorites.

Lanny Boy was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve and loved unconditionally. He had a soft spot for animals and would often take in strays, providing them with a loving home. His generosity and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.

Lanny Boy is survived by his loving wife, Desiree, his cherished daughter, Destiny, his siblings Anthony, Scott, Andie, Pauline, Laura, Toni, his mother Lydia, and his stepmother Eva. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
